For 20 years, many projects in the municipality of Silenen were blocked by the NEAT construction work. Since 2017, things have been happening in the newly vacated areas – and not on a small scale: eleven commercial buildings, the Silenen sports and medical centre with the adjacent exercise and meeting area, and three apartment buildings have already been completed or are currently under construction in the Grund area. The owner of the 33,000 square metres of land is Korporation Uri. This situation enables the municipality of Silenen to actively shape the development of the plot in Grund.
