Wikkelhouses take shape
It's ready: the first Swiss Wikkelhouse, built in Flüelen. Together with experienced partners such as Gotthard Holzbau GmbH and other construction experts, the original Dutch model was adapted to meet stricter Swiss building regulations – in terms of technology, construction and energy efficiency.
The Wikkelhouse is recyclable – it was designed so that it can be sustainably dismantled or repurposed without burdening the environment or future generations. It is built for a lifespan that does not come at the expense of the future. The first four Wikkelhouses on the Rigi are now on sale, and the model Wikkelhouse in Flüelen will be open to visitors from the end of August.
