Positive impact on the region through private investment
New figures show that Andermatt Swiss Alps AG (ASA) has revitalised the region and strengthened its economy. Since 2009, it has invested over CHF 1.6 billion in developing the location, with 35 per cent of the order volume relating to the canton of Uri. These investments have prompted numerous other companies and private individuals to likewise invest in Andermatt.
This dynamic led to a noticeable increase in the population and a general economic recovery. Andermatt Reuss in particular is growing steadily: 144 people now have their primary residence there in 83 residences. In addition, modern infrastructure has been created that benefits the entire community. Thanks to new venues, congresses lasting several days can now also be held in the canton of Uri, bringing additional guests and economic impetus.
